Brighten the Corners

Just discovered these posters by London and Stuttgart agency Brighten the Corners. To celebrate their 10th birthday they created 3 posters which including the creme de la creme of client emails from the past 10 years. Some of them had me laughing out loud.

My favourites include:

  • Hello. Attachment?!
  • Any other graphics or general fun that you can think of including would be great.
  • I don’t know what kind of ‘resolution’ is needed for this, but obviously it has to look crisp.
  • Foreword – can you please replace this with something a bit more salesy?

Some of their other projects that I really love include branding and a website for Holy Mountain and a series of posters featuring Italian sayings for the Italian Cultural Institute.

Because Studio

I was sent a link to these brilliantly clever posters from Because Studio by Zoe at Conversation Pieces. They have a portfolio full of gorgeous print work. I adore this stationery for Low Winter Sun.

David Rager

It was these wedding invitations on Scout Holiday that first took me to David Rager’s portfolio site. He has some really amazing work on there which shows a diverse range of styles. I love his posters for NYU.

Manhattan in type

jim_datz_manhattan_brooklynThink I’m going to purchase this print by Jim Datz which I saw on Three Potato Four (introduced to me by Conversation Pieces). I do already have a vintage map of Manhattan, but I’m thinking I may start up a collection of different maps of NYC… or perhaps of all my favourite American cities. Giving me an excuse to purchase this typographic print of Chicago from Ork Posters. I have a great love for Chicago (which you’ll find out more about in a later post) and the Manhattan Ork poster just wasn’t as nice to look at.

At Elier

The portfolio of Swiss designers Julien Notter and Sebsatien Vigne. Full of clean and contemporary typographic work, the timeless design approach is sometimes reminiscent of Penguin book overs from the 70s.
