Really like this new logo and especially love that the city’s mayor called the old one “a bit daggy”!

This find can fall under both! Anne Benjamin AKA MOK DU creates the most beautiful hand-printed wedding invites from her Chicago studio and also has a portfolio full of charming illustrations.

Ok, so it’s not got all the detailed information of a Lonely Planet or a Rough Guide but Laurie Rosenwald’s typography and collages are so gorgeous to look at, the information comes second. Plus, it leaves you space to fill in your own New York finds. Ours included our amazing B&B right in the heart of SOHO and Delicatessen – the excellent SOHO eaterie which Marque Creative did the graphics for. I so love the typeface they used in the identity.

I love the Airplot logo, which was designed by Airside for Greenpeace. So was really interested to see a breakdown of the design process for it on Airside’s blog.

I have a big thing for Chicago (I got engaged there last September) so am always on the look out for agencies and design companies that are based there. Obviously we all know about Threadless and their amazing t-shirt designs. Personally, I love the Type Tees and this is my current favourite.

I love the fluidity of navigation on Plural’s site and I thought this poster was pretty cool. Found on Fleuron.

And how amazing is the interior of Segura Inc’s Chicago office? The MD does have a background in interior design so it’s easy to see why.

And they have some awesome stuff in their portfolio. I really like the series of posters they created for The Alternative Pick.

Thirst is a design collaborative with some big name clients including Chicago icon, the Sears Tower.

I was on holiday in Cornwall last week and picked up a lovely flyer for the Acorn Arts Centre in Penzance. On closer inspection I realised it had been created by A-Side Studio, a personal “design hero” of mine. It’d be a dream to live down on that beautiful part of Britain and still get to do amazing design for big name clients such as Jamie Oliver, Ford and the National Trust aswell as small Cornish brands like Origin coffee, the Cornwall film festival and MARK – a furniture and lifestyle company.
